Lagerwey wind turbines transported to Finland

For the construction of two wind farms in Finland, with a total capacity of 27.5 MW, wind turbine manufacturer Lagerwey started the transport and shipping of the wind turbine components.

In total, the components of five complete wind turbines have already been delivered to the place of destination in Finland. In the months of January through March the sections of the other six wind turbines will follow.

The components of each wind turbine are transported on trucks to the port of Amsterdam. From there the turbine is shipped to Finland.

45 Lagerwey employees are working on the production of all the parts. About 25 people manufacture the generator and around 20 employees work on the hub, nacelle and the base of the tower. Producing all the parts for two complete wind turbines takes approximately one month to complete.
