Lagerwey wind goes solar

Lagerwey has covered the entire roof of its new wind turbine factory in Barneveld  with solar panels. In total there are 900 solar panels, which together generate 234,000 kWh per year. This is more than the power needed an will offset the CO2 emissions of the plant.

Aart van Pol, Chief Operational Officer at Lagerwey: “As a builder of wind turbines and advocate of more sustainable energy, we find it important to sustain our production. In addition to using solar panels, we also use a heat pump that minimizes our natural gas consumption, now similar to the gas consumption of 4 households. Also, many energy and water saving measures have been taken.”

Lagerwey makes part of the sun roof available to its own employees so they can also participate in this sustainable investment.
